It will get better!

Hello Everyone

So this past week...

I am trying to have a better attitude, but wow this past week was possibly the worst week I have ever had on the mission. I have listened to so many people say they will never come back to church because of specific leaders and some people can’t be baptized because of things in the past.

I would say some of the things I heard or witnessed, but it would not be appropriate to put on the blog, actually it would be better to be forgotten, but it’s hard to get passed something’s, that affect your work and your success.

I was not the happiest camper listening to these things. I know that leaving the church because of one or two leaders is not a good enough reason to leave the only true church on the earth, and what is really more important  your salvation in a church that actually has the authority of god, or worrying about other people? Ridiculous!! But all in all, Sunday was alright in the end.

We had three investigators that want to be baptized next week, so we will see what happens. I am praying, working and hoping for the best.  Oh and my district, or well one companionship in my district baptized two people this week.  One was a man that doesn’t like me too much and a women who got married on Friday and right after, she got baptized as well. The man that they baptized doesn’t like me that much because he started to like one of the sisters, and every time he is near her, I purposely flirt with her to make him jealous. Maybe because this sister likes me and not him.  - Hahaha sucks to be him, but really he is a pretty cool guy and I am very happy for him that he wants to change his life and be a better person.  I think he will be one of the strong ones!

I am nice to both of the girls that seem to like me, actually I am very nice but I just like one of them more than the other hey but do you want to see the sister that likes me but the one I don’t like. this one that likes me wants to live in the US already. when she gets back she wants to be home for only a month then head on out to the US for a year. no but she is trying to flirt with me every time I talk with her on the phone

I am not worrying about my mission. I know I will have success and I know that things will get better, including my knee. It’s just that lately a lot of sad things have happened.

I thought about things lately that I would like from home, but I don’t remember now. You can send me anything you would like. Actually would you like my Christmas list???
If I send it to you then I wouldn’t want you to send me these things. Just keep them in the house till I get home in January.

1. BOD cologne. the green spray bottle, it’s cheap and I like the smell.

2. That nice black jacket from Kohls if you remember.  If not then it’s all good.

3. Shotgun shells, or a belt from Cabellas that is also a shotgun shell holder and a gun holder. I can send you a picture of it.

4. Or... just some money to buy new clothes. that would be nice. just some money set aside and you and I could go out shopping to by myself new clothes.

5. Oh and a cell phone - preferably the iPhone 5s or the android thunderbolt.

That’s all though, if it’s too much then I can make my list again at a more affordable Christmas.

My companion is still gung ho. I think he gets tired of the fact that I can’t work though. He knows he can’t do anything about it, but I think he secretly judges me.

Oh and the MRI was authorized. I am going there in about 45 minutes. I will leave and then be able to get back on email. My knee, it’s like off and on pain, well like a constant pain, but some days are worse than others - kind of sucks. But I have to go now. I think I will get back on to tell you the results and talk a little more because right now I have to catch a bus to go do the test. I think I will get back on about 2 p.m. here, so four hour difference. love you and I hope you are able to be on at that time.

love you,

adam

I am back lol. I basically got the MRI and that’s it.

The one young girl - no she not American she is Brazilian from Rio de Janeiro. Very good looking and already speaks English, and at times it seems that she likes me but it could just be her flirty personality. I will try to get a picture of her sent to you. In my district, there are no Americans.  Oh BTW at times, I try to say that I am American and people don’t believe me -Ridiculous.

But this week was about two investigators and 6 different members.
The six members, every single one of them said they will never come back because of the same exact leaders. Some of them have written to Salt Lake or São Paulo to try and fix the situation but nothing changed and they said they wouldn’t come back until they are released. These members used to be the most faithful - VERY active and always showed charity and kindness.

Well I love you and I will talk to you soon, I love you a lot and I will talk with you next week on Wednesday as it is transfer week!

Frustrating...

From:
adj1991@myldsmail.net

Hello Everyone,

So this past week...

We tried and tried and tried but nothing ever goes our way. All the people we are teaching and all the things we have used to get people in the water just doesn’t work! Nicolas, our investigator ended up being too afraid to stand up to his drunk dad, so he never even went to church.

Felipe our other investigator decided that his parents are right and that he shouldn’t be baptized because he still does bad things like helping his parents in the house. Ridiculous.

At every turn someone is there just waiting to stop the baptism from happening. I wanted to cry or punch someone in the face, but instead I just hugged someone!! Oh and none of the people we wanted to be at church - didn’t go!!!! Ahh and on top of that I heard some very bad things from other members on Sunday gossiping about other members of course!!!!! I was not in the best mood on Sunday. Actually, thinking about it, it’s kind of like this every Sunday. I think after the mission I will enjoy Sunday again, with no worries about investigators and no worries about a baptism or even worry about people going inactive for a while. Back home I feel it is difficult to go inactive; it’s like you have a bigger reason to go to church - but here WOW! The reasons they come up with to stop going - I can’t take it! It makes me very sad and frustrated. Anyway, we should have two baptisms this next week, two men, Gilberto and Carlos, two people that are wanting to follow God and Jesus Christ. We already say hi to everyone and talk with everyone while we are out and about, it doesn’t work here because everyone is so open to things, but too lazy to follow, or that hard heart thing that doesn’t want to follow but loves to listen.

Well that’s all the new things except that interviews with President Nogueria were very fast. It was just...."are you worthy, following the rules, how old are you, how much time on the mission, and if we have any problems with our health?" He also told me that I have until the end of the month to get better with my knee. I don’t know how I will get better, but at least me knee is hurting less and I know it’s all because of the prayers. The MRI never happened. I am still waiting – RIDICUOUS!

So at this point I just gave up on this authorization from the Church medical insurance - I think it will never happen. Also, President Nogueira said that we can’t have missionaries with leg problems on this mission. So if it doesn’t get better by the end of the month I have to call him and we will go from there. I don’t know yet about going home, like at times I feel that I am wasting time and that I have already done what I am here to do, but at other times I feel like going home wouldn’t solve many things. Like I would probably just end up going to physical therapy back home for about 6 weeks and then I would be totally fine. But I know that if I go back, I probably would not come back to finish my mission. Yeah I bought the shoes. They were 45 American dollars. Thank you: D

The shoes fit very well and I don’t need insoles in them at this moment. I don’t really know what is going to happen at the end of the month. They might just send me to João Pessoa and stay there for a little bit and try and see a doctor there.

I am sorry I have to go now and I will talk to you next Monday, I love you so much and have a great week.

No MRI

Hello Everyone,

So this past week...

I went back to Vera’s house thinking I could maybe, just maybe get her baptized...yeah that was a mistake!! I found her passed out drunk on her bedroom floor. I was very displeased!

We have a new goal to try and mark everyone’s baptisms. Actually 5 per day. It went very well and very bad. Got rejected only a few times, but when someone talks like they have had a lot of schooling or educated, they just want to say yes. We ended up having 6 more people marked for this month, but none of them went to church. It’s kind of a normal thing I am noticing here in the northeast of Brasil. Really annoying!

The good thing though is that on Sunday, two people that I did not expect to be at church went. Two girls that our sisters to the brother that we have been teaching. My companion went to their house yesterday and talked about baptism with all of them including the parents. The mother seems interested in talking with us about this. I think that she is wanting her children to be baptized. I hope.......:)

My knee has not gotten any better. I went back to the MRI place and they said that our Church health plan has not yet authorized the MRI. I am still in a waiting period. It’s ridiculous!!! But for now I am just trying to deal with it. I hope I can get it fixed soon though. But yesterday it was hurting a lot. I couldn’t bend it that much or it would just kill me. But at least everyone knows what’s going on and they want to help. I haven’t used our Regence Insurance at all. And they would have to get authorization from Regence as well. Just because it’s a health plan. Almost no one has them here because everyone is poor, so I have to wait until it’s authorized - and you don’t need to email the mission home Mom!! It’s the health plan. They can’t do anything about it.

I liked the photos you attached from the 4th except where Emily is not kissing me! LOL! Well, she is

giving my brother Nic a peck on the cheek!

We have about 25 more minutes if we’re fast at responding: D

Oh and I found some really sweet shoes the other day. They are 45 dollars and I have around 10 reals left! Hmmm….

So, ok for Christmas gifts I will get you some flip flops. They are cheap here because I am near a factory full of them! Oh and I got the packages that were sent to the Bishops house in Ipes. The two small ones that had ranch and peanut butter in them. Also a card from Sean. And your card with that two pieces to the heart and you and dad in a picture no sandal still but that’s ok!

I am emotionally fine. I miss a lot of things still but I am good. And if my knee needs surgery I would have to return home to do it. It also depends on how long I would be at home if I should return to the Misison or not. Like if I had to return for 3 months, then the time wouldn’t count as being in the field. If it was for just a month then it would count as time in the field. If I had to stay for three months at home, then I would probably just stay at home, but I have to go now. I love you and thank- you for everything!!!

A letter to our Camano Island Ward, Arlington Stake, WA

This was received from Elder Jensen and read in sacrament meeting by bishop Dale Tilley on July 7th, 2013

June 17th, 2013

Dear Bishop and Ward

I would like to thank the youth for the letter's and the package. I enjoyed EVERYTHING!
Actually, it's kind of crazy how one package can be such an attitude changed for missionaries.
Before I received the package, I was a little down because we're not having much success, but due to what I received it doesn't really matter because I know the Lord is on my side and I know people love me!

Well, I would like everyone to know that I am doing just fine and working very hard. Work here is very easy to get the investigators, but it's so hard to get them to do anything. The weather is still hot, which makes the ground hot, which eats away the sole of your shoes pretty fast. But in the end, I love these people here and would do anything for them and I would be grateful if I could serve them for Eternity!

The things that I have gained to be a better me from these people here is something I will never forget.

I love the Gospel, Church and my Mission and I know that the church is TRUE!

My knee is hurting!

Hello Everyone

So this past week...

We worked soo hard trying to get so many people to church and accept baptism!!! But what were the results!!!!! NO-ONE except for one person we invited and marked for baptism went to church, and then on top of that our baptism ran away on Sunday. She stopped drinking and smoking, but when Sunday hit, she was nowhere to be found. We looked everywhere and nothing! We looked again at about 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. but still NOTHING! We have no idea what happened to her.

That was the whole week. running back and forth trying so hard for people to progress and those were the result! RIDICULOUS!

The new Mission President is already here. It is his Mission now, but for what comes next, we have no idea - new rules, new meetings, nothing new yet!

I have got no mail yet. maybe next week I will have more.

I went to the doctors today. Yes, he is an orthopedist. Sister Hall told me to visit the doctor. But again, another ridiculous situation! The doctor looked at my knee and sent me to another place to take an MRI, but the MRI place said that they have to verify my insurance to even take the MRI, so I think Wednesday or Thursday I will finally know what is wrong. Stupid doctors and Brasil. So they are waiting from the LDS insurance. Regence will cover it, but we never use our own insurance here. It wouldn’t work if nothing is wrong, I will be so angry! I just want to know what’s wrong and how I can fix it. If he says nothing and that I have to deal with it, it is just frustrating! I will suggest going back home to ask a real doctor and what he thinks? Doctor’s here are not very good. I feel like I am in England and their health insurance. horrible! URGH socialism! Ha-ha I am just kidding Mom! And yes, I have been doing everything for my knee. icing every day. medicine. good shoes. and the designated exercises that the LDS doctor sent me via email. So next week I will have the results for you guys. The doctor said nothing. just sent me to another place. and after that place I have to return to him to get his opinion. ridiculous but I think it could be worth it. but I went to the doctors today already. I just have to wait for the insurance to approve the MRI and then I will know what is wrong. the LDS doctor is soooo certain that its overuse syndrome in the knee, but we will see. I want to prove him wrong actually!. I have no idea, but the doctor in São Paulo said that usually runners or hikers get this. he said he has seen it in a lot of missionaries already. I think it’s just an excuse because no other doctor has seen anything in a lot of MRI´s. What was it about the orthotics! I am wearing great shoes, with insoles. O stop worrying. everything at this point is at an ok. Oh but really don’t worry about the orthotics’, I don’t need them and just in case they don’t get to me, when I get back we can go to the The Everett clinic in Smokey Point for a new appointment. The exercises like the ones you do at physical therapy, and icing, and medicine. and using only my good shoes that are in excellent condition with supports built it, and yeah I can walk on it. It just hurts every time I sit, lay down, and walk. no biggie!! YOU DO NOT NEED TO SEND ME MY ORTHODICS – BUT IT WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE THEM ALL NICE AND NEAT WHEN I GET BACK!!

When I go back to BYUI, yeah I could either take the Portuguese course or take three tests in Portuguese. but it would be out of BYU Provo, so I would have to pay for it out of pocket. before I left the Portuguese tests were about 400 dollars. It would definitely bring up my GPA though!

I have 15 minutes left.

My new companion is Elder Guzman - Nathaniel Jose Guzman. from Argentina.

I don’t like 4th of July here. it sucks actually, one of my favorite holidays!. I am the only American in the house and when no one celebrates an amazing holiday of the US, it just doesn’t work out very well.

Today for p-day I am going to bake, banana bread, cinnamon rolls. and a snicker doodle cake.

But next email is bye bye, until next Monday!

love,

elder adam jensen

love you
!

tchau!!!!!

A drunk and my New Companion!

June 24th, 2013

Hello Everyone,

So this past week...

This past week was a blast. Not really....since the last time I talked to you I just got my new companion, but I stayed in the area. The first night I just wanted to show my companion the area a little bit and one investigator, but he insisted on getting new investigators right away. I told him that if he wants to make contacts then he should feel free to do so. WOW I don’t think I should have said that. His eyes just lit up out of joy. He started going left and right talking with everyone. Not even caring about set appointments. He is the most excited missionary I have ever seen. We ended up getting 23 new investigators this past week!! This number is great; however, NONE of them went to church. So I had to talk with him about new investigators. I told him that he will not be able to count a person as being an investigator unless they agree to be baptized and visit the church. So we will see how many people will become investigators next week. Actually I think it will probably be about the same number. He takes my baptism picture every chance he can get. It’s hilarious, but he loves it. My companion is from a city...I think it’s call La Pampa. I am not really sure. It speaks really deep and fast, so I have to pay a lot of attention when he speaks.

So, Saturday was a very funny day! Actually just at night. We went to an investigators house. We were sitting outside talking about the book of Mormon and what not, but sooner or later, a drunk shows up. He kept on talking and talking about us and getting louder and louder. It was very frustrating but then again I love to mess with drunk people. He looked at me and asked me to read him some of the book of Mormon. I saw one scripture that started with "therefore, I know”, so what did I do?? I only said these three words and after the three I made up some words of my own. I said, "therefore, I know that you are drunk off of moonshine, and you are being very annoying, so you should return to the bar or go back inside because we are not the land of moonshine." he didn’t understand very well. Or maybe he didn’t want to. But after he that he started going off about how God is the greatest thing in his life and how he is our only Father. But he was speaking very loud during the lesson right next to us, so my companion looked at him and told him to give us five minutes of peace and quiet. That was a mistake by my companion! This drunk started yelling at this point that he couldn’t believe that my companion stopped him from talking about God. Over and over again he said the same exact thing..."he stopped me! I was talking about my Father, and he stopped me!" For a good ten minutes he just kept saying it over and over up and down the road to every single person on the road. I was laughing very hard at this point, but my companions face was the best part. He looked like he was afraid the drunk guy was going to hit him. Almost like he might crap his pants. Oh it was a good way to end the day. Absolutely Hilarious!!!

Well that’s all that happened. Oh and my knee is getting worse if you wanted to know. My feet are fine and my back. Only one knee is hurting in a specific spot.

My companion is not too happy that he has a hurt companion, but he knows that he is with me to learn something important. I just hope that I can teach him those things that he needs.

Today here is a holiday. I don’t know what the holiday is called, but it’s a day where almost everything is closed not sure what for, but the holiday isn’t even important. It’s just people here like to have a reason to skip on work.

I am thinking of changing my Semester. I would be home August-the end of December. And I would be in school, January until July. No, I don’t think I should go all three semesters, I’d have no time at all for anything especially having relationships and that means that I wouldn’t marry Emily lol. But I could for one year go to all three to get caught up very quickly. Yes, I know that I would be home for your birthdays as well, my birthday, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Hunting Season!!

Oh and Gavin wrote me, His email was pretty funny. I enjoyed reading it. I don’t have much time left, sorry! I have about ten minutes. Too many people wrote me, and the thing that takes the most time is writing to President Hall each week

I hope you like the photo with President and Sister Hall and which missionary is good looking?

The good looking Sisters or the Elders. Because there is only one good looking Elder there lol. It’s me! In the picture is me, my trainee and the sisters that are in my district.

But I love you and I will talk you next week.

Have a great week!

Me a Trainer...?

 Hello Everyone

So this past week....

The week was totally fine and kind of slow with its normal difficulties, but Saturday comes around and everyone needed something. Members needed blessings, other missionaries needed to have interviews for their investigators, and this all had to be done from 6-9 p.m. It was a rush and for the most part, I wasn’t even in my area to do all of this. It was across town and the bus is ridiculous. Anyways, the good part about all of this is that the chapel that I went to was also having a party at the same time. I was able to see some great people and eat descent food and listen to horrible northeastern Brazil music. It’s awful, but everyone loves it here. That was my week basically. I hope more happened but nope!!

Well other news....I got a call Monday night saying that I am going to be a trainer. I had to leave this morning at about 5 a.m. which is not a good time to wake up when you’re already exhausted from the work. But I went to João Pessoa and got my greenie and had lunch there and got the bus at about 3 p.m. but now I am finally back in my area and we will see how this goes. He seems like a good guy and wants to work. He is from Argentina and he has about 1 month on the mission. He just got out of the MTC. At least he speaks descent Portuguese. He isn’t like the others from his group that have no idea what a complete sentence is in Portuguese, but then again that’s exactly how I was when I arrived. I feel so bad for newbies now. It’s sad. So lost and so tired. And then they have to be trained by me. What a horrible situation for my newbie!

Hey my computer is all messed up, so if you have written back I probably won’t receive it. I am sorry that this week happened this way, so I will talk to you this coming Monday. I love you and I hope you can stay strong in all the good things you do! If it’s bad, then I have to wish you bad luck lol :D

And I can’t believe my future wife is holding another man.

Haha! Man it’s weird that Ammon is home and I am still here!

I love you

elder adam jensen

p.s. In answer to your questions:

I got an email from grandpa that was a while ago. if he has sent one within the last month then no I did not receive the email.

I will be staying in the João Pessoa mission.

Oh and something’s that Ammon has told me, I would never tell you!! That is the point of having a best friend - not telling your Mothers their secrets!!

Transfers Next Week

Hello Everyone,

So this past week,

Nothing happened – again!! I am trying, and I completed all of my goals or well the mission goals, but nothing. Four investigators came to church. Two of them will be baptized at the end of the month, but I would enjoy baptisms every week. Oh except the only things that did happen were that we had a conference with President Hall. It was good and I learned a little bit more. It will probably be the last time I see President Hall. He leaves at the end of the month. And I got two things of mail.

I got Nic's letter and the package from the ward. I was very very happy with the package!! Sorry Nic but the package had some very good things and I enjoyed the letters. Basically all of them said the same things and only about two lines, except for one letter, (it had a cow on it). And, yes still only one shoe LOL. No other packages, it must be nearly three months now since you mailed the packages, and don’t worry I won’t throw the one shoe away. By the way, from the Ward package, the only thing left is the seasonings!! I plan on making chili now on Friday. I made tacos last week. They were delicious!! But no I didn’t need to pay tax at all on it either~!.

With the pictures of Christ that you showed me, I enjoyed both the Christ pictures, and I liked the first one more, but I say this because it seems different than all others and it doesn’t look at all like a Catholic Church painting of Christ. So buy the first one!

Hey that’s pretty good for Dad with the grant for school. I know that the money will help. Is Nic trying at the moment to get in to Provo or BYUI or is he still thinking about it? Tell him that if he wants to live with me in Idaho I wouldn’t make him follow all the rules. I already got the set up with some friends to where we wouldn’t be watched over like babies!!

The Petrie's left in April. I still don’t know on which Mission I will be in when it splits in July. On the 19th I will know for sure. I still hope that it will be João Pessoa.

My companion is awesome. He is very calm and very patient. It works out between us both. But his leg has been hurting him, so he will start physical therapy soon. My knee is killing me as well. But that’s ok. But to be honest, I think we are both going to stay here together one more transfer.

I am fine. It’s true that I do not have any money in my personal account, but I still have money from the mission and I will get more from the mission this Friday. I should be fine for the time being: D

Hey but I have to go now. I love you so much and I will talk to you next week on Wednesday.

This is all I’ve got!!

 love you so much

 elder adam jensen

p.s. I just got Elder Collins address today. Sorry, do remember when I asked if you could send the  pictures from Mossoro there? I love you a lot. His name is Zach Collins
!

A little upset...just a little!

Hello Everyone,

So this past week...

It wasn’t a bad week actually until Sunday. I hate Sundays actually. it’s a very stressful day on the mission. The good news from last week...is that we met with Geovanne, our baptism almost every day and everything was planned for him to be baptized. We met all of our goals as well - actually my whole district met their goals. I was happy for them!

Bad News: I am sitting next to Geovanne during sacrament trying to help him want to be baptized and be excited. He was scared and thought that because of his fear he shouldn’t be baptized. I was trying so hard to comfort him, even his dad and another young man tried to comfort him. By the end he said ok, that he would be baptized. So, right when we were about to get up out of the sacrament room, a woman came up and asked him if he really wanted to be baptized and he said that he wasn’t sure. So, this woman (a member) told him that he shouldn’t be baptized and that Sunday was not meant to be the day of his baptism. I WAS SO P....D! Ater an hour and half working with him to get over the fear, this member just comes up and had to open her mouth!!! I just wish that when a missionary has a baptism, that every single member will help the missionaries actually baptize! PLEASE never ever tell an investigator not to be baptized!!!! I hate these kind of people! I am here to fulfill a purpose and she just comes a long and crushes my whole purpose. So, by the time she finished I couldn’t do anything, she already said it and I could see the Geovanne already decided for sure that he wouldn’t be baptized. Oh the joys of the mission!!

Oh wait, do you remember when I said that a young woman wouldn’t be baptized because her husband doesn’t wasn’t to get sealed in the temple with her???? Well this Sunday he said that he will talk to her and try to get her baptized. I was so happy. He is finally going to back up and support his wife and help her choose the right decision. Woo Hoo!

I did include an SD card in my last letter but it probably has a virus on it hiding all of the photos or something, so you’ll have to go into the computer and make sure that it shows all hidden folders. If it doesn’t work at all, then something happened to it, but don’t worry, I still have the pictures on another SD card.

On another note on being a Psychologist, I was also thinking that therapy is like a little help in the process of repentance, and repentance can mean a lot of things. Like forgiving yourself for things that you may have done or what others have done, or just maybe how things have played out. It could be forgiving others. It could be a way of growing. A way of tearing down walls and starting over again. And repentance could just be a way of letting go and crying it out. Repentance in the end is a way of becoming a better you. Repentance is sacrifice we must all make, but in the end, we can become so much more. It just depends in what areas of repentance the person is needing. Because as I have learned, repentance is never a bad thing and actually it’s a great thing!! It’s a reliever from the pain that we might have. And therapy is a way of letting go and truly confessing about the things that hold us down. But the good thing about the Lord is that he has put many people on this earth, especially the ones closest to you to help. We all just have to ask!

I am hoping that maybe someone was able to get those packages from the Bishop’s house in J.P, if they have finally arrived there, I will then have the two shoes, instead of hopping around on one!!

Kurt Hansen has not written me yet, but that’s ok. I will see him again soon lol. That’s kind of funny that the YW you told me about and who she is dating, when I know someone here that she is writing to. He is serving the São Paulo East Mission and he lives on Whidbey Island. I knew him from the MTC and his twin brother is serving with me here in João Pessoa!

I have no idea how to do fiberglas, I am sure there must be a kit and hey that’s good about the weather – crabbing soon!

Ammon turned down my offer of bringing Emily on a date when he gets home, as she hasn’t spoken to him in a while.

But anything else going on at home? To reply to letters I need letters!

Hey but I have to go now. That’s all that happened for the time being. Transfers are on the 19th of this month. I will be speaking to you again on Monday.

There’s nothing else. My heart is full. I love you so much. I truly wish the best for you.

I love you a lot and I will talk to you next week.

love,

Good News and Bad News

Hello Everyone,

So this past week....

This past week was pretty good and pretty bad, the good parts is that we met all of our goals, and that I did some interviews for people to get baptized, and I got a free lunch in a different area.

Bad parts....our baptism, that lives a good hour and half away walking, didn’t go to church on Sunday with his family. Half of the family was sick, so our baptism didn’t happen. Also this same kid, on Saturday night we planned an interview for him, and he would not go to the church for the interview. I tried everything to get him to go, and he wouldn’t budge. The more I talked about the interview, the more he wanted nothing. The Zone Leaders were already there waiting to in the church, and we were in a different city basically. It totally sucked!

Our other baptism that we had, he decided one day that he wanted nothing from us on Thursday.
We have no idea what happened, so we will talk to him tonight. We couldn’t see him that much last week, because of our other baptism that never happened.

Oh and the other bad thing is that a companionship in my district went to the President's office today. One of them with his suitcases. I don’t know what he did or what happened. I am worried for them both, but I want to know what this companionship did or what happened, since I am responsible for them being the District Leader. I like them both, but I still hope for the best.

Oh and when we had the free lunch, the member decided to put on a CD that had all of your music videos of movies like, Grease, Dirty Dancing and stuff like that. I got pretty trunky. Especially because of the Grease videos. it reminded me of watching the movies with you Mom when I was younger, about how much I loved spending time with you and just watching movies like Grease, kind of gay for me saying this, but it’s true, I was missing of the old times watching movies and just relaxing with my mother on off-days from school. I almost cried during lunch because of the music!

Anyway, those things are horrible that happened in England. Those English people standing around are horrible. but really, they wanted to video tape it? That’s sick!! Also, that really sucks about the bridge. I don’t even remember where it is, but I know that there is probably a little bit of panic and frustration now for people. Hey did anyone die? And what happened with the tornado in Oklahoma?

I talk with the Bishop each Sunday, but nothing has happened yet, with organizing a pot-luck or anything. I try to get the members involved and they want to help, but they are not always there when we can use them. And they day of the interview, was the day that everyone went to the temple.

And yeah it looks like Emily still is being lazy now that she isn’t in school. I didn’t understand about the signs, what did Emily tell you? She hasn’t written or emailed me. Ammon writes me every week. he asked me what he should do when he gets back. I said to take Emily on a date!!

I think I have 38 or 39 credits. Why? I think it was14 credits the first each semester. I think when I get back I will just stick to 12 and see how it goes. And wow 1.9, that is very low. Looks like I need to work a lot harder. 1.9 is like an average of a D each class. Wow it’s horrible!

I got the pictures and I liked them very much. except for that white looking chair, it doesn’t go well in the living room, actually I won’t lie, but I think it’s ugly lol. Don’t take it wrong, but it’s just my opinion hahaha. Yeah it was the chair that has the gray patterns on it. I don’t really know what color it was, I just know that’s its next to the brown recliner, there’s a table between them. I liked the benches. The benches turned out a lot better than I thought they would. Congratulations! I liked the brown in the living room, it made it look more of a relaxing home - like a cabin but near the beach.

I would love Resses Puffs. No I don’t need 50more bucks. But I have to go now. Already an hour has passed. I got on a little earlier today so that I could have an hour with you. It has been an hour and a half now on the internet. But love you and I will talk to you next week.
